Be awed by the temples built by the ancient Khmer and experience current day Cambodia packed into this busy 4 day visit.

Day 1 Siem Reap Arrival & Angkor Wat
You will be met by a Journeys Within representative and taken to Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast where you will meet your host Brandon Ross.
This morning head to Angkor Wat in an air conditioned car, or if you choose by bike, with your guide. Explore this majestic temple throughout the morning while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Also visit Ta Prohm and Banteay Kdei, two of the more unique temples in the complex. Return to Journeys Within for lunch and a nap.
In the late afternoon visit the Wat Thmei Pagoda School sponsored by Journeys Within and benefiting disadvantaged children. Meet the children and help them practice their English.

Day 2 Siem Reap - Village Tour
Set out for our Journeys Within Village Tour. Our village guide will take you to his village showing you rice paddies and typical homes along the way. At his village enjoy a fresh coconut drink and meet his family and neighbors. Walk from here to West Baray Lake where you can take a local boat to an island with some picturesque ancient Khmer ruins. Return to shore where your car will be waiting for you. From here head to Pua District and visit the Artisans de Angkor silk farm where many local women are trained in the art of silk weaving.
Enjoy lunch at Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast.
After lunch head to Angkor Thom, the famous walled city and see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out. Walk between the temples as your guide shows you detailed reliefs and hidden wonders.
Head into town to enjoy a traditional buffet dinner and dance show in the evening.

Day 3 Siem Reap- Beng Mealea and Banteay Srei
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat, then grab a traditional breakfast like the locals do at local stall with some tasty noodle soup. After breakfast head to Beng Mealea, a temple only recently opened to the public.
In the afternoon head to Banteay Srei, an intricately carved temple known as the Lady Temple.
Enjoy lunch at Khmer Kitchen, a restaurant specializing in traditional Khmer dishes.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure.
In the evening head to Wat Bo to see the monks during their 5 pm chanting.

Day 4 Siem Reap - Markets and the Tonle Sap
Take a walk around the Old Market where the locals and tourists shop side by side. Then pay a visit to Artisans de Angkor to see their workshop in town. Here you will be taken on a short tour to see the students learning the skills needed to produce works of art in a variety of different materials before visiting their beautifully displayed shop.
Choose a restaurant in town for lunch before returning to Journeys Within.
After a rest or swim drive through rural Cambodia to the Tonle Sap Lake where you will take a boat ride to visit the floating village and a Cambodian fish farm. Climb Phnom Krom and see the ancient ruins high on the hill and watch the sun set over the miles and miles of rice paddies and the Tonle Sap.
